Promising Practices - Nebraska

Nebraska – Staff of the Health and Human Services System hold Outreach meetings with community agencies to present their publication A Guide for Applying for Food Stamps – How to Apply for Food Stamps in a Nutshell! They also provide the agencies with Food Stamp Program applications for distribution. They believe community agencies provide low income families greater support in filling out the Food Stamp Program applications (two parts, many pages).
