Supplemental Nutrition Assistance Program

Promising Practices - Florida

Florida – The Department of Children and Families (DCF) has contracted with a private, non-profit organization, Florida Impact Education Fund, Inc. (Impact), to operate a toll-free help line, pre-screen potential clients, and send information on the Food Stamp Program to low income residents. During the FY 2005, Impact also included information regarding Earned Income Tax Credit in their mail-outs to potential clients. For more information, contact: Debra A.
