Food Stamp Program

Contact Us

The Food Stamp Program is a federal nutrition program that is administered by State and local agencies.  This website provides general information about the program -- how to become a Food Stamp Retailer, and information on the EBT card. It does not have access to case files and cannot process individual applications.

The following are commonly asked questions:

How do I get an application to become an authorized retailer to accept food stamp benefits (EBT)?

What types of food items must I stock in my store in order to qualify for authorization as a retailer?

What do I do if I’m buying a store that’s already authorized in the Food Stamp Program or has an EBT machine?
Who should I contact if I have questions on how to complete the retailer application?
How long will it take to become authorized?
What items can and can’t be bought with food stamp benefits?
Can sales tax be charged on food stamp purchases?

If you still have questions after reviewing the website, please CLICK HERE and we will be glad to assist you further.
