These charts will show a monthly trend analysis of the
average cost per pound that USDA paid by delivery month. The meat,
poultry, and dairy products listed
below represent those with fluctuating prices recorded during SY 2003, 2004, & 2005.
They also are based on purchases made for
schools participating in the National School Lunch Program and other Child
Nutrition Programs, which include the Summer Food Service Program and Child
and Adult Care Program.
Each chart will indicate the name of the USDA commodity for which the
analysis applies and the assigned 4-digit commodity code. Also for your
information, the charts are organized primarily by food type, which
