provides links to a wealth of
information about USDA Commodity
Food Programs.

are the cornerstone
of Federal nutrition policy and nutrition education
activities. They are jointly issued and updated every 5
years by the Departments of Agriculture (USDA)
and Health and Human Services (HHS).
FNS Nutrition Education
FNS provides children and adults of all ages with
nutrition education materials on how to improve their
diets and their lives.
Healthy Eating Index
The Healthy Eating Index (HEI) is a measure of diet
quality that assesses conformance to federal dietary
guidance.
MyPyramid
Food Guidance System translates
nutritional recommendations into the kinds and amounts
of food to eat each day.
Team Nutrition
provides training and technical assistance for
foodservice, nutrition education for children and their
caregivers, and school and community support for healthy
eating and physical activity.
