Farm to School Census

USDA Food and Nutrition Service has been tracking the growth and change of farm to school programming since 2013.

The Farm to School Census is a one of a kind data source compiled from surveys sent to more than 18,000 school food authorities. Check out the links below to learn more about farm to school activity in the national school lunch program.

  • Farm to School Census Results - Visit the Farm to School Census website to learn about how schools nation-wide are engaging with local food and local food producers. Our Census website has been designed to put more information at the fingertips of farm to school “do-ers” as they plan and discuss ways to grow their programs into the future.
