I’m Power Panther,™ and I work with the Food and Nutrition Service’s EAT SMART. PLAY HARD.™ campaign. I love my job because I get to travel around the country visiting with kids and parents to encourage them to EAT SMART and PLAY HARD by following the recommendations of MyPyramid for kids.

My nephew, Slurp, lives with me. I try to set a good example for him because he tries to do things that he sees me doing. That means I have to show him that healthy foods taste good, and give you the energy to do the things you like doing!

Slurp and I have a lot of fun playing together. To keep going strong, we balance our day with food and play. Slurp and I get energized by making healthy choices from all the MyPyramid food groups. These foods power us up, so we are ready to jump into our favorite physical activities, like bike riding, basketball, soccer, hiking, swimming, dancing, and climbing trees!
