The annual White House Easter Egg Roll on the South Lawn was a fun day in the sun for all who attended! The Food and Nutrition Service's nutritional character, the Power Panther, even made an appearance at the White House's request. The Power Panther was very active exercising, doing yoga, hula hooping, and competing in football drills with the kids in attendance. This year's theme for the Easter Egg Roll was ?Get Up and Go!? and many activities were incorporated to encourage children to lead healthy and active lives and to Get Involved with the First Lady's "Let's Move" initiative. The Power Panther also brought his own message to the kids to Eat Smart and Play Hard. The Power Panther looked so healthy and groovy that he was asked by Jarrod, the famous Subway spokesperson, for a picture.
