Special Emphasis Programs address the unique concerns of
women, minorities and persons with disabilities in achieving equal
opportunity in all employment and program delivery activities.
FNS currently works closely with USDA to support the seven Special Emphasis Programs described below. Information regarding Special Emphasis Events at FNS Headquarters and at other locations can be obtained through physical Bulletin Boards and the FNS Intranet Sharepoint site. Everyone is welcome to attend any and all events.

Disability Employment
Program
The Disability Employment Program is responsible for
assuring consideration of the needs and problems of persons with
disabilities in all aspects of Federal personnel management.
Federal Women's Program
The activities of the Federal Women's Program focus on
the employment needs and problems of women as they relate to Federal
personnel policies and practices.
Hispanic Employment Program
The Hispanic Employment Program is responsible for
assuring consideration of the needs and problems of persons of Hispanic
origin in all aspects of Federal personnel management.
Lesbian, Gay, Bisexual and
Transgendered
Program
The Lesbian, Gay, Bisexual and Transgendered program is responsible for
and addressing the needs and concerns of Lesbian, Gay, Bisexual and
Transgendered individuals.
