GLICKMAN, WILLIAMS, HOLMES NORTON TO PROMOTE AVAILABILITY
OF FREE SUMMER MEALS FOR LOW-INCOME CHILDREN IN D.C.

WASHINGTON, July 14 1999--Agriculture Secretary Dan Glickman will join DC Mayor Anthony Williams and D.C. Delegate Eleanor Holmes Norton to promote USDA's summer feeding program for youth at Banneker Recreation Center on
Thursday, July 15, at 12:30 p.m.

Who: Secretary of Agriculture Dan Glickman, D.C. Mayor Anthony
Williams, D.C. Delegate Eleanor Holmes Norton, and
representatives from D.C.-area anti-hunger groups.

What: A visit with summer food service program sponsors and area
youth to promote the availability of free summer meals for
children from low-income families throughout the DC-area

When: Thursday, July 15, 12:30 p.m.
