GLICKMAN CANCELS MINNESOTA TRIP; UNDER SECRETARY WATKINS
WILL ATTEND TWO NUTRITION AND LEARNING EVENTS

WASHINGTON, March 2, 1999 Agriculture Secretary Dan Glickman will not be able to visit the Twin Cities on Wednesday, March 3, 1999, as earlier planned.  In Secretary Glickman's place, Shirley Watkins, USDA Under Secretary for Food Nutrition and Consumer Services will attend two events marking National School Breakfast Week. 

At 8:00 a.m., Watkins will join students at the Oak Grove Elementary School for breakfast, followed by a brief program. The school is located at 1301 West 104th Street in Bloomington. At 10:00 a.m., she will address a Minnesota Department of Children, Families and Learning symposium on "Optimizing Student Achievement: The Health Connection." The symposium will take place at the St. Paul Hotel, 350 Market Street in St. Paul.
