Replacement of Stolen Benefits

Contact your state agency to report stolen SNAP benefits.

Households have 30 calendar days after the state has started their plan (May 22, 2023) to submit a retroactive claim. Submit regular claims within 30 calendar days of discovering theft. Report theft by mail, phone, email, or in-person at local offices. Submit claims by mail, in-person at local offices, or online. The state has 10 calendar days after report of loss or 2 business days after claim submission (whichever is later) to validate the claim.

Benefit Availability: Benefits for approved claims are available for use on the day following claim approval. You must replace your card.
